Guests arrive at Misty Lake Resort Munnar through a paved path that travels to the apex of a hillock where one is received and checked in. The welcoming party also comprises numerous birds in the trees, exuberant in their mellifluous greetings. A cluster of cottages with distinctive pyramidical roofs is situated lower down the slope of the hillock, their balconies facing the dip of a valley, looking over a line of bramble and silver oak trees.
